And on a side note:

Yea, you read that right. “Expectant Mother Parking” at my grocery store.

I get the need for this. In fact, it must be kind of nice for tired, expectant moms (through pregnancy). But do you blame me for wanting to ram into this sign some days?

*update: I was notified this morning that my blog made it to the top 50 blogs on this site. Check out the other great blogs.

Happy ICLW! I will admit when we finally got our BFP after trying so long – I was pretty excited to be able to park there. Although it took me six months to do it then!

  2. Happy ICLW!!!

It is supposed to be an area of convenience, that manages to push a thorn in some people’s heart…just really ram it some day…

  3. I used to hate those signs. Once I got pregnant with IVF, though, I used that spot every time I could, just because I was so happy to finally be able to use it! I would yell at DH when he didn’t use it and I was in the car! SIlly I know.

  4. Happy ICWL.

The sign. Yes, that would tick people off.

I feel that way about a stupid pampers commercials when moms complain their two year olds aren’t toilet trained yet. I scream at the tv: try re-toilet training your 8 year old every few months…(expletive)! So I get it, maybe not from the baby aspect, but from the things being rubbed in the face aspect.

I hope you get the baby you long for. I truly do.

  5. Hi there! Happy ICLW and thanks for your comment. Your organization has such an awesome mission; I’m so excited bout all the families you’ve been able to help!

  6. When we were in the process of adopting and we knew we were approved and we were waiting for “the call,” our social worker told us to consider ourselves “pregnant” since we were in the process of waiting for a baby as well. I have to confess I was sorely tempted to park under the little sign. I was an expectant mother, after all! I didn’t because I didn’t want to take the spot from a pregnant woman with sore feet and aching back, but I did really want to 🙂

Thanks for your visit and happy ICLW. I love what you’re doing to help others in their pursuit of a family. As for the “expectant mother” parking I say just use it. We’re all expectant, we just don’t know when or how…right?

  8. Here from ICLW 🙂 Great blog! When I first decided I wanted to TTC, I was so happy every time I saw one of those signs – I couldn’t wait to park there. Today I’m much less gleeful but still hopeful. And congratulations on being a mother 🙂 Sending prayers and best wishes for you and your family.
